Transient Labs
Transient Labs is a suite of web3 tools for creators and brands. Stacks is a new product offering in which digital creators can create, customize, and deploy digital artwork on chain, via Transient Labs contract creation platform The Lab.
In collaboration with Operating System, I was brought onboard for user experience audits, design system support and creation, and mobile design. Stacks is currently in live Beta, and can be accessed at transientlabs.xyz.

User feedback from a version 1 launch expressed confusion and disorganization in the platform. Deploying a smart contract (desired task) required users to go through 9 screens and switch between screens to change desired form fields. In simple terms, users found the NFT smart contract creation process very confusing.

Upon launch, Transient Labs received immediate and ample user feedback requesting a need to simplify the user experience. With tight turnaround times, I got straight to work on focusing on 4 key metrics:

By adding onboarding educational modals for priming mental models, grouping form related form fields, and implementing "advanced" modes for further user control and input, a new redesign of the user flow reduced the number of screens in the user flow from 9 to only 3. This resulted in a reduced cognitive load and and optimized information architecture that simplified the user experience for Transient Labs's users.
